So much to say

I don't know if it's the weather outside or all this new hair that's growing in, but I have been chatty for the past couple of weeks like nobody's business! Mom's been taking me for nice walks, I've met nice people my own age finally, and I'm really enjoying this classical music CD that Dad puts on for me at night before I go to bed.

Dr. Harvey (or how I learned to stop crying and love the interlude)

Well, my parents seem to have shown there true colors the other day. After 2 months of feeding, loving, changing, burping and cuddling, I realized that it was all a magnificent ruse, concocted in order to get me to Dr. Harvey's office where he stuck me with little sharp things. Well played Mom and Dad, well played indeed...

Before this all went down, I did get to see how I measure up agains the rest of the little ones out there, so here are my stats.

Weight: 13lbs. 4.5oz - 95%
Length: 23.25" - 75%
Head size: 39cm - 50%

So I don't like to miss a meal...rude to notice!

Nana's Birthday!

So, today is my Nana's birthday! I'm not really sure what this whole birthday thing is all about, but I know that my Nana loves me and I love sleeping on her, like in this picture! She has a lot of sparkly things on her ears and fingers that I like to look at!

Some people think she looks a lot like my Mom and me.

Okay, I get it. Cassidy's contingent is desparate for more pictures and witty commentary (okay, at least for more pictures). First, let me tell you a few things, then we'll get to the pictures...

Our little superhero has really changed quite a bit since the last time I posted. She had her first Dr's appointment (don't cringe yet, this one was "sans needles"). Contrary to popular belief, the ginormous head gene is clearly not domimant. Here are her stats as of 1 month:

Length: 21.75"
Length: 75%
Weight: 90%
Head size: 35%

That's right, smaller than normal. Dr. Harvey told us that she's a million dollar baby, and not to change anything. Clearly she is a genius as well, as she started drooling at a very early age.

Last week Mom and Cassidy started getting a little more mobile and adventurous, making trips to Nana's, the Mall and even to baby class where they were reunited with Jesse and Addison from our birthing class. Mom and Dad actually braved a night out with Cassidy at Jesse, Kurt and Addison's for a night of pizza and chatting. Some sort of resemblance of a social life is nearly visable somewhere in the distance.

Sleeping is getting a little easier. Cassidy is pretty much going to bed at 9, waking up once at 2 or 3 and then up for the day at 6. This is a welcome change, but we aren't going to get too used to it just yet. As you'll see from the pictures, she is also smiling and interacting a whole lot more. Despite our best efforts, there is still the occassional communication gap...

So, one last thing before the pictures (the ones that you've already scrolled down the page to peak at) I guess from the reaction of me missing a couple of weeks of posting, that there are more than a few of you reading this. You are now invested in this exchange. That is to say that for me and more importantly, Casssidy to get the picture that there are people out there reading this, you have to post comments.
